There is always something exciting and intriguing about meeting a fellow blogger, especially if that blogger has one of those blogs that you avidly follow. From the moment Vineeta of Artnlight called up with a cheery ‘lets meet!’ and we giggled over the phone together, I knew it was going to be one fabulous and unforgettable encounter which was well worth crawling out of my cave for.
Vineeta is a gorgeous woman with striking looks, a presence to be reckoned with. She is fun, brave, intelligent and radiates this amazing aura of love, happiness and positive energy which is absolutely infectious and yes, she too has curly wurly hair!!!
We gassed like old friends who hadn’t met for years, we indulged in chocolate, caffeine and lots of sugar, and told each other about ourselves, our lives and how and why we do what we do.
Vineeta and I had ‘conversation’. We both spoke. (No endless monologuing here). Instead, this was an afternoon of healthy, civilized, funny, intelligent conversation at its best.
Yes, I know I’ve just included shots here about stuff we ate (can you blame me?), but Vineeta has this fabulous DSLR camera and she’s taken these great pictures of our visit to Time and Space Art gallery and Cinnamon boutique, so the moment she puts up her post about these places on her blog, I’ll include the link here.
Meanwhile do rummage around in the treasure trove of beautiful things in Vineeta’s blog Artnlight >>>!

now please tell all.
thanks
d: am glad you like my blog. please don't tell me you've never been to a barista's and had the chocolate cake there?
Oh what a fun sounding meeting! Must be a special sort of experience meeting someone you know from the blogger world in real life, having never met before. Especially when it is someone who is also very creative and gifted as it seems the two of you are.
No better way to meet then with good coffee and dark chocolate (looks like a pretty amazing desert there).
There is nothing like crossing paths with a kindred spirit, sharing good conversation and laughter.
Its so great to hear about bloggers meeting and enjoying each others company like long lost friends. You both have striking looks, let me tell you! Glad you had fun!

WOOOAH!!! Thanx- this is hugely generous :) We did have a brilliant time and sparkling conversation- it was beautiful meeting you. I had so wanted to after reading your blog forever :) But it will take me a little getting used to - seeing my picture up in this post (yikes!) I have this strange phobia about seeing my picture in public forums- but its just as well that I deal with it :) I will be soon posting about my Bangalore trip and meeting you :) you are the best!
How lovely! Great company and large desserts are the best! Both of you look gorgeous!
looks like you guys had a lovely time.
you both look great.
it will be lovely to meet you too :)
i am drooling looking at the last pic.
It's always a sweet feeling - meeting ppl u've 'known' for a long time, even if it's through the medium of their work. I'm sure this meeting would have been a lot of fun. Would be so nice if we could meet up someday in a'bad too :)
What a delightful time you had.. good friend, good food, beautiful surrounds...
those desserts are making my mouth water...
Awesome! The things you ate look completely decadent. How fabulous! I am delighted to share in the meeting of two great blogging women.
i'll bet all of you, and i mean ALL of you who read this post went and got yourselves some chocolate cake after reading this ;D
heeheehee...
It's always nice to put a face to the person who is a fellow blogger / flickrette. That chocolate looks divine :)
you know what - that logo looked so familiar i went hunting for it - and found it!!! of course i'd been to a barista before - but never ever had that amazing looking thing (which i now know is a cappuchino cookie and cream)! obviously have'nt been in a bit!
heres one for you - eat the mud pie or the oreo cheesecake at spoonful of sugar, indiranagar. you will not regret it. however they close at 9 (and i get all my cravings post that).
lets tell each other all the good dessert places in bangalore ok?
love
d
That's a deal d. But now it's my turn to be mystified. Where the heck is A Spoonful of Sugar? Gimme a landmark or something and i'll rush there like a woman possessed. Where? Where?
yippee i can tell someone something they don't already know!
spoonful of sugar is just off the hema stores / krishna temple road (it's the road parallel to CMH road / it starts opposite the big sapna book store on 80 ft road and goes on upto 100 ft rd. if you go down that road from sapna book store, towards 100 ft rd, keep looking to your right, and you'll see it in one of the right turns (perhaps the 3rd or 4th right turn, not sure, keep looking!)
miserable directions, i know, but i am a talker not a writer!!!
they have amazing dessert, but weird timings. closed on sundays, and closed after 9 at night and basically closed at all times that one can get dessert cravings. also i think they make small portions so they run out of stuff. do try the oreo cheesecake and the mudpie first they are my favourites, then try the other stuff.
you do know of the oreo cheesecake at spiga right? also v v good. its opposite bishop cotton girls school on lavelle road.
infinity on cunnigham road has some good dessert too - try the semi fredo there.
now your turn.
ps - tell me as soon as you go there ok?
ah, thanks for that d. i'll leave a comment here as soon as i go there.
